What is Meditation?
All human beings have an innate desire to overcome suffering, to find happiness. Training the mind to think differently, through meditation, is one important way to avoid suffering and be happy”, “A real understanding of the true nature of the mind can only be gained through meditation.” ~HH 14 Dalai Lama
Depending on the type of meditation you choose, you can meditate to relax, reduce anxiety and stress, connect to universal wisdom, and more. Meditation has foundations in ancient philosophies and several world religions, but you don’t have to be religious to meditate. Some examples of religious and nonreligious methods of meditation include: Buddhism, Sufism, Christian, Taoist, Transcendental, Guided, Metaphysical.
Meditation is a useful tool in metaphysics also, as it awakens one’s consciousness — and conscious awareness creates greater sensitivity to what is — and what is not — both on a Universal scale and the individual’s role within it.
